In a period in which there are many to take it out on the wild boars that circulate in the streets of Rome in search of food, an absurd story emerges, with hallucinating contours. To discover it the Forestry Carabinieri of the Provincial Group of Rome, in collaboration with the Carabinieri of the Roma Prima Porta station, of the Metropolitan Police and Local Police of Rome Capital and of the ASL Veterinaria Roma 2, who found inside a disused farm occupied illegally by a 54-year-old woman, a boar farm, moreover kept in unsuitable conditions.
The breeding in the farmhouse owned by the Region, in via Arcore in Prima Porta area. The woman, on the other hand, is part of an animal rights association, which was unaware of what the 54-year-old was doing inside the farmhouse. In detail, he illegally raised 11 wild boars and about 70 domestic pigs. A dog, 15 cats, a pigeon and a goose were also found: all the animals lived within the walls of the farmhouse and not in the external area. From direct testimonies, which we came into possession of, it seems that the woman came into possession of the puppies and put them in the hood of his car, where they were kept for hours, closed in the dark, before being taken to the farmhouse.
Following the raid of the carabinieri, carried out a few days ago at dawn, the pigs were given to the management of the ASL Roma 2, while the wild boars were taken over by the Lazio Region, which has entrusted them to a wildlife hunting company, where they will be kept outdoors, but in a fenced area as required by law. The entire disused farmhouse was seized, while the 54-year-old was reported for hunting theft, keeping animals in conditions incompatible with animal ethology, keeping dangerous animals, foraging wild boars and invasion of property (The Courier of the City).
