Sauer 404 XTC Carbon - The mechanics
The bolt equipped with six front flaps on two rows of three sees the head that can be dismantled from the cylindrical body thanks to a spring lever and an orthogonal interlocking of total safety thanks to the peak load: the head fits into the breech of the barrel equipped with mortises necessary to implement the closure. In the rear part, the ring that acts as a base for the handlebar, also inserted with the same system, is hot keyed in order to avoid subsequent welding, which is expensive and unattractive to look at; the apex includes the manual safety with the Handspannung system thanks to which, by keeping the cartridge in the chamber, the percussion is deactivated when you have to move or it is reset in a moment when firing.
Sauer 404 XTC Carbon - Stock and trigger group
In this model the stock is made of carbon, therefore with a material of particular technical value that allows the best non-deformability while maintaining an extremely light weight so that the weapon adds up to just 2.800 g. The realization sees two separate parts that insist against the inclined bars protruding from the profile of the sides of the castle: it is easy to understand how the unloading of forces finds a wide and precise support base on the stock, all to the advantage of precision and constant shooting. The axis is very straight in the American way, therefore with very low detection at the shot, the shape continues the recent style that in Sour it is called Synchro and which involves a large gun with a larger section towards the guard, a window derived from the hole for the passing thumb, with the advantage of allowing a rapid and optimal positioning of the hand which then remains firmly on its support while carrying the finger in right orthogonality with the trigger. The back of the stock can be lifted thanks to an internal sliding support: even the eye easily finds its position aligned with the optical axis of the telescope. A soft rubber buttpad attenuates the recoil sensation and allows it to rest on the ground without damaging the precious base material. At this point, work on the front belt holder shirt releasing it with a slight pressure on the central part: an Allen key is thus extracted with which to operate the various optional adjustments and at the same time the rod is removed from its seat. The wrench intervenes in the tightening of the three Allen screws of the barrel, on the positioning of the trigger with double mobility, longitudinal and axial, with 8 mm of excursion and 5 degrees angle to the right and left so as to reach the most suitable arrangement for the shooter's finger, and much more. important, on the adjustment of the trigger weight placed on the left side of the castle: four predispositions with 550, 750, 1000 and 1250 g, always taking advantage of an optimal release readiness, clear and without spinning or retraction collapse. The speed is very high and the recoil is not very noticeable. We treat optics separately Zeiss Victory V8 1,8-14 × 50, a choice that, at first, can give rise to a single uncertainty which can be summed up in paying or not the non-slight amount requested: once this mental obstacle has been overcome, you find yourself in your hands one of the highest caliber telescopes with general and particular characteristics that will make soon forget the release of the vil money from your wallet or the slightest wrinkle to your credit card.
