The Benelli name needs no introduction, because it already presents itself. Over the years, the most prestigious arms house in Italy has managed to establish itself on the market for the high mechanical precision of its products and for the ballistic performance of the same.
Wherever we talk about Benelli, we only hear that it is the number one in the sector, just as it is in the field of shotguns. The recognition also arises from the company's continuous investments in research and technology. These investments marked the first 40 years of the company's life, which today, without false modesty, can legitimately boast of the title of leader and number one in the arms industry. The range of Benelli shotguns is vast, as is the audience of hunters who use them. However, hunters are not all the same: there are also left-handed shooters, that is, those who use their left hand to do everything, including hunting.
Benelli, during its constant research and technological development work, also thought of creating rifles suitable for left-handed shooters. These rifles are the revised and corrected version of the standard ones, version that is redesigned and built for those who use the left hand. In reality, Benelli rifles for left-handers are called "mirror" versions, that is, they take their cue from the concept of the standard rifle, but then they are rebuilt from scratch to ensure maximum effectiveness and precision. The ballistic performance and functionality of a weapon are not obtained, in fact, only by modifying some parts, but by rebuilding them from scratch. Maybe the same technologies of the standard models will also be used, but rethinking and rebuilding them in a completely new and original way. The fruits of this constant technological innovation by Benelli are many, but the one that is gaining the greatest appreciation of hunters is the Raffaello Crio Comfort Mancino speargun.
It is a 12 gauge semi-automatic with inertial mass, produced according to the most advanced technology implemented by Benelli.
The mechanics of this semiautomatic include the rotating head with variable geometry trigger. In the Raffaello Crio Comfort Mancino everything is thought out, designed and prepared for those who use the weapon with the left hand: the barrels, the rear extensions of the same, coupled with the carcass, the carcasses, the shutters and the clicks for ejection to the left. From the standard model, Raffaello Crio Comfort Mancino retains the Comofortech technology and the Crio rods. The term Comfortech identifies a technology that allows to reduce recoil while always maintaining the same weight of the rifle. 'weapons attempted to overcome and resolve. The problem has become increasingly felt due to the renewed needs of the market, which asks for ever lighter and more functional weapons. According to the laws of physics, however, the lightness of the rifle is not always compatible with the reduction of recoil.
Benelli, always faithful to its commitment to research and innovation, has managed to overcome this limit, that is, it has ensured that even small arms could absorb or eliminate the sensation of recoil to a minimum.
This effect is obtained thanks to the materials of the stock and fore-end, made of technopolymer and those of the butt pad and the comb, made of technogel. The stock, which has also undergone the Comfort Touch treatment, gives a pleasant sensation in contact with the skin, while the butt pad and nose pad, thanks to the gel insert, change during the shot, absorbing the recoil sensation and enhancing the sensation of comfort of the rifle. The stock also has a gel insert that absorbs shock on the stock and nose pad. Its particular anatomical shape also makes it very delicate in contact with the hunter's shoulder and cheek. Comfortech technology produces visible results also on the aesthetics of the weapon, which comes with an elegant, refined and decidedly unique design. No less is the ballistic performance, designed according to the highest levels of precision and perfection. Shooting accuracy and uniformity of the shot patterns are guaranteed by the cryogenic treatment undergone by the barrels, a treatment that gives its name to the Crio technology introduced by Benelli.
The cryogenic treatment increases the resistance of the barrel to pressure and to the temperature increase generated by the shot. With less tension, the cartridges are also deformed less, ensuring a more targeted trajectory even at long distances. Without deviations, the swarm of shot appears more compact, ensuring uniform shot patterns and direct shots at the target and without errors.
Raffaello Crio Comfort Mancino, but also in the standard version, is perhaps the only weapon in which shooting accuracy, trajectory and shot pattern coincide perfectly.
The other technical characteristics of Raffaello Crio Comfort Mancino are functional to the ballistic and aesthetic performance of the product just described, namely: stock distance from the trigger / deviation 365 mm; drop at heel 55mm, drop at nose pad 37 mm; transverse safety with red ready-to-shoot warning; interchangeable nose pad and butt pad; High –sight red fiber optic viewfinder; trigger guard in chromed Ergal; removable packet trigger between 22 and 28 N, manual safety with reversible crosspiece, automatic safety against burst firing, automatic safety against bolt firing not fully closed, cut-off to the magazine. And also: ventilated rib in carbon fiber; tubular tanks with 2-shot reducer (without reducer 3 12/76 shots, 4 12/70 shots), 76 magnum chamber (to allow shots even with more powerful cartridges), weight about three kilos with 70 cm barrel. Raffaello Crio Comfort Mancino is also produced with 65 and 75 cm barrels and with chokes *** and is sold with two internal and external chokes * / **.
According to the hunters, the three-star chokes guarantee excellent ballistic performance in this weapon, even number one. The price is also worthy of a number one: about two thousand euros.
