The regional councilor of Veneto and number of CONFAVI, Sergio Berlato, responded to the accusations following the publication of the same on Facebook of a cartoon that has sparked a lot of controversy. Here is Berlato's answer after the criticisms, social and otherwise, which received: "I deleted the post of the cobwebs only to avoid squalid and exploitation to the detriment of the Party, not before having saved a complete copy of it with all the unspeakable offenses and unacceptable threats, even of death, to which I was subjected together with the members of my family by the animal rights activists.
It will be my responsibility to promptly send a copy to the competent authorities, together with my complaint aggravated defamation and threats for which I have already provided a mandate to my lawyers. The competent authorities will stop the decision for the consequent determinations ".
Berlato's cartoon is only a cartoon. Sexist or in bad taste it may be, it is nothing compared to the infamous offenses and obscene threats that every day they direct against us hunters, those beings who call themselves environmentalists.
