The Italian, senior and master polygon championships of Cagnola in Milan are nearing conclusion.
25 September 2011 - The last day of competitions is held today at the Cagnola shooting range in Milan where today the last titles of the senior and master Italian Championships are awarded.
In the women's 10-meter rifle Elania Nardelli has finally hit her first gold in an Italian championship (395 + 101.2 = 496.2). The Apulian Navy shooter won silver in the 3-position rifle on Friday but today she wanted to win. "The Italian championships are a race that I feel particularly, I did not want to miss this appointment with the podium and I am very happy" these are the words of the young athlete who has a really busy year ahead of her "I want to arrive in London and I will do my best to be able to compete in the next Games ". Silver for Sabrina Sena della Forestale (393 + 101.2 = 494.2) and bronze for Marica Masina from the Carabinieri sports center (393 + 100.0 = 493.0).
In recent days in the automatic pistol specialty Riccardo Mazzetti has reconfirmed himself as Italian Champion. The Army shooter who just a month ago missed the card for London 2012 by a little, today had the opportunity to redeem himself, proving to be the best among the Italians, and was supported by the audience present who attended the phase final of the race (579 + 192 = 771): “I managed to defend the title won last year, obviously I'm very happy. After the race I had the opportunity to demonstrate to show the new competition modes in this specialty. Of course, it's not easy, but it's certainly more spectacular for the public ”.
In second position Nicola Nello Pizzi (Lucca), a highly experienced shooter who again this year obtained a good confirmation by remaining on the podium (574 + 184 = 758), followed by veteran Nicola Maffei (Santarcangelo di Romagna) who finished the his performance in third position (571 + 183 = 754).
In the rifle competition she climbed to the top step of the podium, winning gold (588) for the first time in an Italian Championship. Stefania Bertola (Monza): “I am very happy for this victory, the result of so much sacrifice and training. I would like to dedicate it to Roberto Facheris and to all the people who like me work hard to emerge in this sport ”. In second place Sabrina Sena (Forestale) with 585, followed closely by Giuliana Molteni (Monza) with 582.
After the difficult transition from the junior category, which he had concluded by winning gold in all pistol specialties, to the senior category, the Fiamme Oro shooter Andrea Amore happily finished the 10-meter pistol test by winning the title for the first time. Italian (576 + 97.9 = 673.9) ".
I finally managed to take gold in the senior category, I'm very happy! " Andrea said at the end of his race: ”during the summer I tried to prepare myself as best I could, and the work I did paid off. It was a great honor to compete against highly experienced athletes ”.
In second position Vigilio Fait (Rovereto) who deserves the credit for having played the best final (574 + 99.3 = 673.3). Carabiniere Paolo Ranno won bronze from sixth place in qualifying, showing his character and determination especially in the last few shots. (572 + 99.1 = 671.1).
In the women's 10-meter pistol final, the athlete of the Forestry Marta Sabine (376 + 97.5 = 473.5) returned to the top of the podium after a few years of absence. Starting in second position, Sabine fought for first place against teammate Zarina Dalla Santa (Forestale): “last year I competed while I was pregnant with my second child and I finished third. This year my children were able to attend my final and I'm really happy to be able to achieve this result ”.
Second place therefore for Zarina Dalla Santa (375 + 98.2 = 473.2) who moved up one position compared to the qualifying phase. Bronze for the newcomer Samuela Giansante (Susa) who, together with Dalla Santa, closed with the best final score, and reached the podium from seventh qualifying place (373 + 98.2 = 471.2).
