The defense of the category
Massimo Moranduzzo, Provincial President of the Venetian Hunters Association/ACR of the Verona section, defends the hunters: "Stop pointing the finger at the hunters for whatever happens: for some isolated fact you cannot attack an entire category, we are tired of this smear campaign against us, it almost seems that hunters are no longer interested in carrying out hunting activities but in shooting towards streets or houses: this is a distorted vision of reality".
Respect for distances
As reported by L'Adige, Maranduzzo then added: “We know well that we can shoot even 100 meters from houses, if we turn our backs on the town; otherwise we must keep a distance of 150 meters. Yet, we advise our members to respect this last distance, so as not to run into problems."
The role of the hunting world
Finally, the president underlined: “If we see many more pheasants, hares and ducks in our countryside, it is also thanks to the hunters. Our job is not to kill animals but to allow game to grow and repopulate our territories. We are the first to invest in the protection of wild species, establishing various repopulation and capture areas, where hunting is absolutely prohibited. Taking care of the wildlife environment is one of the key values of our business."
