For some time now the aiming optics with the brand Sight Mark are in circulation on our market thanks to the distributor of Sightmark products for Italy, Maremma. Today we observed the Core HX 3-12 × 56 model that we are reporting at the moment after a static examination, counting, in the near future, to have a sample of the same brand for a field test. Let's start from the values involved, pointing out how a 3-12 × 56 has now become a point of arrival for many hunters, still allowing a favorable use on hunted wild boar, the three magnifications favor a quick aiming with a field of view suitable for rapid movement. of the wild, while with the twelve one engages successfully and without limitations at the maximum distances allowed by common sense and knowledge of oneself and one's specific abilities.
The 56 mm lens, if on the one hand it is a bit demanding in terms of volume, on the other hand it allows even in mortifying light conditions, to literally extract the image of the prey from the background in which those ungulates that are usually positioned at dusk, then roe deer, deer and wild boar at the post office. Among the salient features of this telescope we observe the one-piece body in aluminum alloy with 30 mm tube, the eyepiece with shockproof rubber for the correction of diopters from -2 to +2 on which the battery seat protrudes to the left for the lighting, equipped with a screw cap: eleven light intensities are available with red numerical references around the perimeter.
The knurled ring for magnification adjustment is keyed onto the tube. Three turrets protrude in the central enlargement: the upper one and the one on the right for elevation and tilting interventions, with 60 MOA available in both directions and a single click value equal to ¼ MOA, all facilitated by the right dimensions and wrinkles of the gripping surfaces. On the left, the focus is set on the subject combined with the parallax correction provided by 20 m to infinity: always favorable addition by adopting the expected magnifications.
The HD lenses promise high light transmissivity and the reticle, of the Hunter Dot type, is engraved on the lens of the second focal plane with the result of not having variations in perspective thickness as the magnifications vary, therefore target coverage that is reduced by increasing the factor. x: it is specified how the central red dot covers the 1,1 MOA subtended surface. The field of view at 100 meters is subtended between 11,83 and 2,93 m while the egress pupil rises from 14,6 to 5,0 mm according to the choice of magnifications.
The intrinsic robustness of the whole, and of the engraved reticle in particular, allows the manufacturer to advertise the resistance of the instrument even with ammunition that develop 1200 kgm, in addition to the adaptation of the IP67 standard as regards the impermeability to water (1 meter ) and dust, thanks also to the nitrogen filling. The measures in question given in millimeters are decidedly compact: 323 in length, 65 in width and 46,5 in height with a mass of 710 grams.
The price fluctuates according to the retailers, positioning itself in a completely informative and non-binding manner between € 353,00 and € 390,00. We promise ourselves as soon as possible a test in the polygon: the conditions for doing well are all there.
