Winter Skeet Championship: On the podium for the excellence section we find Alessio Forti.
The Winter Skeet Championship, an Olympic shooting specialty, ended on March 14, 2010. The final took place at Tav Marmore in Acquasparta (Terni) and saw the participation of 186 shooters who clashed in an exciting competition with 75 targets each, demonstrating how high the level in Italy of the athletes of this discipline is. The shooter Alessio Forti (Narni - Terni) rose to first place on the podium for the Excellence Category and managed to reach a score of 74/75 +2. Second place went to Manuel Polidori of the Army. Third place, however, for Adriano Bandini (Cecina - Livorno).
For the Ladies Category, Simona Scocchetti, also from the army (Ardea - Rimini), won first place with a score of 69/75. Second place went to Chiara Costa (Rome) while third place went to Nausica Cirillo (Milan).
Excellent results also obtained by the youngest shooters. This year's winter champion for the youth section, Gabriele Rossetti (Ponte Buggianese - Pistoia), won with a score of 72/75 almost equaling the champion for the Excellence Category, Vincenzo Grizi (Castel Gandolfo - Rimini) at the second place and third place Michael Palmieri (Ostra - Ancona).
