After last year's return to the international limelight, the Grand Prix of Nations in Fossa Olimpica makes an encore with great success. Organized by the staff of Tav Umbiraverde-Todi, led by President Giuliano Proietti, the event attracted 256 specialists to the Umbrian platforms who competed for the conquest of the coveted Trophy. A two-phase competition, in which, in the first, all the shooters measured themselves over the distance of 75 targets, at the end of which a first ranking was drawn up. The best 35 had access to the second phase and faced a fourth series of 25 targets. In the end, two of them found themselves at the top of the final ranking, namely Jacopo Cipriani, a Florentine from the Carabinieri Sports Group, and Oronzo Rochira, an Apulian from Ostuni (BR), both of which came within one point of perfection with 99/100.
To determine the overall winner it was necessary to resort to a playoff, won by Rochira with a quick +2 to +1. Gold for him and silver for Cipriani, who got on the podium of Excellence and Prima with the young Diego Valeri, bearer of the Fiamme Oro di Artena, bronze with 98. Among the second category shooters, the best was the Tuscan Franco Bolici from Montepulciano (SI ), climbed to the top with a score of 92 in front of Maurizio Gronchi di Laterina and Marco Maurizi of Giulianello di Cori, silver and bronze with 70 + 6 and 70 +3.
Among the third category, the strongest on the platform was the young Fabio Beccari, fourteen from Comacchio (FE), gold with 98. Finally, the team classification awarded the blue trio formed by Valerio Grazini (Forestale) from Viterbo, Andrea Miotto (Carabinieri) of Mazzano (BS) and Federico Fanali (Forestale) of Montefiascone (VT). Also excellent was the participation in the Sistoni Memorial, staged on the same platforms on May 179st. A total of 75 participants competed over a distance of XNUMX targets each. In this case the final classification awarded the talented Alessia Montanino, twenty-two years old from Palma Campania (NA) under the Gruppo delle Fiamme Oro and competing with the blue uniform of the National B.
