A winning couple
The couple formed by the new World Champion and silver at the last Tokyo 2020 Olympics Diana Bacosi (Army) of Cetona (SI) and the Olympic Champion in Rio 2016 Gabriele Rossetti (Fiamme Oro) of Ponte Buggianese (PT) wear a beautiful silver medal around their neck in a final fought with the English team formed by Amber Hill and Ben Llewellin. The two shooters chosen by the Technical Director Andrea Benelli did well in the qualifying phase closed in first place alone with an almost perfect 146/150 right in front of the English couple who closed a target from the Azzurri after a hard fought shoot-off won 4-1 with the Kazakhstan team.
Other results
In the Gold Medal Match the Azzurri were not as perfect as in the previous qualifying phase, they left too much space for their opponents and lost 7-3 against the Great Britain team that deserved the top step of the podium. The two Bronze Medal Matches were won respectively by the duo representing France, Nicolas Lejeune and Lucie Anastassiou and by the Kazakh mixed couple made up of Eduard Yechshenko and Assem Orynbay. Medal matches for the bronze touched by the couple formed by Chiara Di Marziantonio (Army) of Cerveteri (RM) and Elia Sdruccioli (Army) of Ostra (AN), at the end of the eighth with 142. Tomorrow the final act of the 2022 World Cup will be celebrated with the team competition of Skeet and Italy leading the overall medal table with 6 golds, 4 silvers and 2 bronzes. The best four teams will face each other in direct matches for medals, scheduled from 15.30 pm.
