La Italian Federation of Hunting e Arch Hunting have decided to join the initiative "People4Soil!" to promote the soil as a valuable asset. More than 300 organizations from all over the European continent took part in the project: it is a network of hunting, agricultural and environmental organizations, but also professional associations and more, all with a common purpose, precisely the soil. Soil guarantees food security, in addition to the conservation of biodiversity and the regulation of climate change.
Such a role, however, it is not protected by any type of law. For this reason, the European initiative was born with the aim of collecting at least one million signatures and claiming the right. The aim is to make the soil a common heritage that deserves protection at community level for the benefits it can bring.
The collection of signatures began two days ago, Thursday 22 September 2016, at the Salone del Gusto in Turin and will last a year since it will end in September 2017. The hunting world wants to make its contribution with these illustrious memberships, in particular by making its territorial structures available: the intention is to demonstrate how concrete the hunters' commitment is when it comes to protecting national and international interests.
