A veterinarian who did not intervene on the site of a car accident caused by crossing the road of wild boars, was denounced for omission and refusal of official documents. As the site reports Sardiniapost.it, the episode happened in the municipal area of barumini, in the south of Sardinia. A man in the middle of the night hit three wild boars on the 147 highway with his Alfa 197.
The carabinieri arrived on the spot to investigate the case and they called the veterinary on call of the Sanluri local health authority to carry out the analyzes on the animal carcasses. The veterinarian, however, did not go to the scene of the accident and the military was unable to intervene on the animals.
Only the next day a vet took care of removing the wild boars and carry out the investigations required by law, such as samples for the monitoring of swine fever and trichinellosis. His colleague, on the other hand, was reported.
