Charity dog trial
Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 February 2023 was held in the dog training area managed by the section FIDC Limbiate the charity dog test "Studia in pace with Federcaccia", a fundraising competition to be donated to charity for the purchase of educational materials that facilitate the continuity of studies of Ukrainian children who flee from the conflict currently in place in their nation. The test was the occasion for the awarding of the first Vincenzo Cutrì Trophy, a late friend of the Federcaccia section of Milan/Monza Brianza. The numerous competitors (over 95 rounds) competed in this test, structured on two fields, one destined for the known "dog-hunter", judged by judge Matteo Cutrì assisted by Pietro Erario, and the other destined for the practical hunting note on quail, judged by Deborah Savoia.
Illustrious names in the dog world
The canons of judgment of the hunting dog test were aimed at rewarding the hunting skills of the hunter-auxiliary combination, without forgetting the stylistic skills of the subjects presented, while the practical hunting test was enhanced by the participation of several illustrious names of Lombard dog lovers, who have responded with great strength to its charitable vocation. The weather conditions, marked by a constant light breeze, enhanced the dogs' olfactory skills, which gave their best and delighted the public with valuable content. For the awarding of the Trophy, a barrage was disputed between four subjects who excelled in the various categories being tested, and the fact that these came from four different provinces of Lombardy testifies to the excellent state of health of the amateur dog lovers in the Region.
The customary thanks
At the time of the award ceremony, the President of the FIDC Section of Milan Monza Brianza, Luca Agnelli, underlined the charitable purpose of the event, and commented how this could have been the only real and concrete response to the continuous attacks to which the hunting world is subjected even by so-called pacifist movements. The technical report, held by the jury presidents, was made touching by the memory of the deceased friend to whom the trophy was named, and decreed the values in the field as per the rankings below. We thank the President of the Provincial Section of Milan/Monza Brianza Luca Agnelli, the vice president Maurizio Masiero, the President of the Lombardy Region Sports Commission, Sergio Tenconi for the support. Last but not least all those who did their utmost to organize the test (source: FIDC).
