Sustainable Hunting: Macerata, the report of the conference, organized by ATC Macerata 2, held in recent days in Montelupone on sustainable hunting.
Great participation in the conference of ATC Macerata 2 in Montelupone which had as its theme "Management and sustainable and conservative hunting of wildlife". The regional councilor for hunting Paola Giorgi intervened at the conference who brought the greetings of the Marche Region and made herself available to meet the needs of the hunting world and ATC, providing suitable tools for a correct management of the territory and for the recognition of the legal personality of the ATCs through the insertion of a specific provision in the regional law. The Mayor of Montelupone Giuseppe Ripani brought the greetings of the Municipal Administration underlining the essential contribution of local hunters for the protection of the territory, hoping in this context a greater recognition of the whole hunting world. The Vice President of ATC Macerata 2 Nazzareno Galassi discussed the possibility of being able to make the withdrawal in derogation of the transfer and the finch on the basis of the provisions of art. 9 lett. c of the Community Directive 2009/147 and on the importance of research on the migration of woodcock, teal, song thrush by satellite telemetry, in order to have elements of knowledge on their actual movements and on the relative seasonal phenology; data that are of fundamental importance for the drafting of hunting calendars.
Dr. Andrea Brusaferro, from ATC Macerata 2, in his speech highlighted how the synergy between hunt teams, turn groups and selechunter has actually lowered the number of damages caused by wild boar, despite the criticality along the borders of the National Park. of the Sibillini, as the concentration of wild boars inside it, with the consequent spillage, are creating many problems.
The collaboration of the tracking teams was essential for the prevention of damage; however, in order for the wild boar to be a resource and not a problem, it is advisable to collaborate between all the subjects appointed to manage the species without "suspicion and demagogy". Doctor Uriano Meconi of the Marche Region Hunting Office illustrated the draft hunting calendar for the 2014/2015 season resulting from the unified proposal of all the ATCs and the Marche Hunting Associations.
As regards the exceptions, the Region is taking action to apply letters a) and c) for reversal and finch pursuant to the Community Directive. Dr. Daniele Sparvoli, head of the Regional Faunal Observatory (OFR) illustrated the calendar for the selective collection of ungulates 2014/2015 approved on 12 May, pointing out that the selection collection is a conservation hunt aimed at managing the species. object of collection (wild boar, roe deer and fallow deer).
