The new ones presented at the IWA in Nuremberg in early March telescopes Swarovski Z8i were illustrated by Paolo Naccarella, of the Italian headquarters of the Absam company, at theBonardo armory in Bra ([email protected]) where several customers interested in the novelty were invited. These telescopes they stand out thanks to a sum of features specially designed to allow hunters a technical landing of a high optical, mechanical, technical and even aesthetic level. There is very little to say about the quality of the lenses used because all enthusiasts are familiar with the quality of rendering referred to the images, the details, the fullness of view over the entire surface of the eyepiece, the colors which, according to the most common, they do not tire the eye: it is an assertion to which technical supports are unrelated, but the response of the users has the considerable weight of the immateriality that often guides the choices. On the mechanics we opted for a 30 mm tube with limited thickness and a very compact volume: the aesthetic result has its own reason also in the function and a Z8i is perfectly at ease even on rifles such as the kipplauf where its reduced size and weight form its essence.
La mechanics is subject to the consolidated technology of the house, further improved in the last few years, and here equipped with the magnification factor 8, a valuable entity from which the wide versatility of the four proposed models derives, with specific uses, certainly, but equally with admirable versatility of use. An absolute novelty is represented by the double Flexchange reticle linked to the new lighting system, further refined in yield and maneuver: this double aiming reference, 4A-IF, which can be activated by pressing a button, consists of the central point only or the addition of the peripheral circle, both luminous with perfect adaptability to both targeted and moving shooting.
The flexible ballistic turret (BTF) is added, configured with three different types of rings or, on request, with the one customized to your own cartridge (PBR): the turret it is disengaged with a simple click and can be used not only as a correction of the fall of the ball, but moved to the side seat, also as a correction of the advance, for example in running boar competitions. Obviously everything needed is available to the customer on the appropriate branch of the company website.
