Information, training and prevention: underway in Molise a cycle of three meetings promoted by the Region to deepen the theme of swine fever. The central government, following some cases detected by killed carcasses of wild boars in Piedmont and Liguria, invited the Regions to activate procedures on safety and health protection.
The regional councilor for agricultural policies with responsibility for hunting, Nicholas Knight, gave a mandate toWildlife observatory to coordinate the territorial hunting areas (ATC) to organize specific initiatives. Yesterday in Isernia the first meeting was attended by Antonio Liberatore, veterinarian of Asrem, the commissioner Cavaliere, the team leaders of the Atc and some hunters.
“This activity - commented Cavaliere - is of crucial and helps us to face a delicate national emergency in the best possible way ". In order to involve the entire regional territory, they have been planned for the next few days two more meetings which will be held in Campobasso and Termoli. (HANDLE).
