A hunting novelty that could eliminate bureaucracy and divisions. As reported by RSI.ch, you are thinking of introduce a hunting license in Switzerland at the federal level which could then be recognized by all Swiss cantons. The Bern government will have to examine this proposal, approved by the National Council with two votes of difference (92 in favor and 90 against, as well as five abstentions). This is a project presented by Martin Landolt, leader of the Borghese Democratico Party (PBD).
According to the Swiss politician, there are differences between canton and canton as regards training courses and exams to be taken to obtain the hunting license, but they are not so obvious and far from each other. Consequently, also taking into account the fact that modern society is increasingly characterized by great mobility, the hunting ability exam should be federally recognized.
Several federal councilors have also indicated that they want to deepen the question of harmonization in this field. According to Yannick Buttet (Democratic People's Party), the initiative would be more than welcome if it were supported by the Swiss cantons themselves, for example through agreements on hunting. The topic is therefore arousing some interest and there will certainly be important developments over the next few months.
