Italian Federation of Hunting: The path towards the unity of the hunting world continues. A series of meetings open to executives and hunters will bring the FIdC to an organizing meeting scheduled for May to refine the Federation's restructuring process. The 2015 budget approved. At work for the creation of a Confederation of Italian hunters.
The 20th National Assembly of the Italian Hunting Federation took place last Saturday, December 48, in Rome. In the presence of all the Presidency Council, with the exception, justified by personal reasons, of the vice president Antonio D'Angelo, who did not fail to send his greetings, an attentive and participatory audience followed all the phases of the work shareholders' meetings. These began with a brief, but as always very heartfelt report by vice president Lorenzo Carnacina, in his role as head of the Environmental Management Office. Carnacina underlined how the collaboration between the Office and an ever increasing number of public administrations has led to positive results in various respects for hunting and the correct application of national and international regulations. Dwelling on the latest EU Pilot proceedings opened against our country, he highlighted how the technical considerations regarding the Migratory Birds Office were shared by Face Italia and promptly transmitted by it to all the competent offices of each Region. On the matter, he also observed how a simple request for information from the competent European Commission was translated by the Ministry of the Environment into an invitation, in our opinion unfounded and not justified by the Italian regulations and the interpretative guide of the European Directive, to the Regions to reduce hunting times for thrush, cesena and woodcock.
To this request of the Ministry, those Regions that in the drafting of their hunting calendars have respected and correctly applied all the indications and regulations mentioned, have made and we hope they will continue to do, opposition convinced of the legitimacy and correctness of the technical-scientific memories brought in support of the themselves. A position that Federcaccia shares and on which it will support them with all its support. After the vice president, Dr. Michele Sorrenti retraced the research and activities of the avifauna office, showing that in the face of a difficult commitment, for which all the technicians and hunters who collaborate in the various data collections should be thanked obtaining increasingly concrete results, consolidating an image of seriousness and efficiency both nationally and internationally.
Dr. Giorgia Romeo, scientific director of the sedentary fauna office, followed him with an interesting report on the hare, focusing in particular on its decline in some areas of the Po Valley, a phenomenon in contrast with the stable situation or increasing populations. in the rest of Italy and on which for the moment there do not seem to be certain causes, even if numerous data would seem to indicate a problem of cohabitation with the minilepre, which would negatively affect by transmitting endopathogenic agents. For a better identification of the causes, as well as for the collection of data at the same time as the capture actions, Dr. Romeo underlined also in this case the fundamental importance of the collaboration of hunters.
At the end of the two appreciated technical interventions, with the election of Giacomo Lanzini, provincial vice president of Brescia, as president of the Assembly, the more strictly institutional part opened. After the presentation by Chairman Dall'Olio of the 2015 budget, once again in balance, the positive report of the Board of Auditors and the response to some clarifications requested by the assembly, we moved on to the vote, which saw it approved unanimously. After this formal passage, the president Dall'Olio took the floor for his report, based as always on a critical and concrete analysis of the associative reality and the situation of the hunting world. Reunification of the various voices of associations and completion of the "Federcaccia di Tomorrow" project are the two objectives, not disjointed, that the president has indicated, not for the first time, as necessary for the hunting world to respond more and better to its role. in front of the institutions, civil society and hunters themselves. "It is a path - underlined the president - that must be done together and the FIdC has the duty of structure, numbers, strength, history and values that are its own, to indicate it and bring it to completion". “Greater specialization and professionalism is necessary not only in Rome, but in our entire structure - he recalled -. A greater confrontation with the periphery is at this point necessary and therefore we will start a series of meetings in the area, aimed not only at local managers, but above all at hunters, so that ideas and requests arise from the comparison. The result will flow into an organization conference scheduled for next May, which will involve all managers and will be enriched by the various experiences needed. A confrontation in the appropriate places that will not stop the unitary process, to which on the contrary it will give new impetus.
It will be the new structure that will be born that will act by its very nature as a catalyst for unity, to become that unique subject which hunters, but also institutions and even our antagonists look to first, and which will speak with a single voice of and for hunting. In the meantime, we won't be waiting. The revision of the Face Italia model continues, with a common desire to find a shared solution, also extended to those who, like Arcicaccia, have not been part of it until now, to reach a Confederation of Italian hunters, to which we hope they will also want to join EPS and Italcaccia. A Confederation that will overcome the limits of the current organization of Face Italia, which nevertheless has managed to do a lot, with few clamor but a lot of substance, for hunting. A Confederation where, while awaiting the reunification that we hope, while maintaining their own identities, however, we speak with a single necessary voice ”.
And precisely on this issue, the president Enalcaccia Lamberto Cardia, current coordinator of Face Italia, absent due to institutional commitments, sent a letter in which he stressed that "the essential point of convergence for the prompt signing of a protocol of an agreement between all the recognized national AVVs, aimed at quickly landing in a confederation that can tackle the emerging and increasingly urgent hunting problems in a communion of intentions and unitary confederal representation ". The applause that concluded the report and the speeches that followed highlighted the substantial agreement and satisfaction of the assembly on what was expressed by President Dall'Olio.
Also guests of this assembly the president of ANUUMigratoristi Marco Castellani and of Arcicaccia Osvaldo Veneziano. Castellani recalled that his opinion on unity is well known, and aware of Federcaccia's “driving force” he is happy to make his own contribution to the ongoing process, which was done in the past and which will not change in the near future. Veneziano's intervention is more articulated, underlining the changed conditions and relationships that have emerged in recent months, and which have led to an ever closer collaboration expressed in the search for a common action implemented on various tables, all aimed at rediscovering as well as greater representativeness unity. Resuming the floor, President Dall'Olio recalled that FIdC is following every aspect of the many and different issues concerning hunting, and it does so not based on opinions but on knowledge, both technical-scientific and technical-legal. In conclusion, he recalled how the revision of the territorial structure, through the disappearance of the provinces, will necessarily reopen the question 157, imposing its revision. "We must be ready to be reliable and credible interlocutors to manage the governance of that 70% of the territory on which we operate - he stressed -, but we can only do this by quickly changing our approach and our vision of hunting and its role".
