I Bari hunters were very clear, the Lama San Giorgio Park it must not be created: the reason is soon said, according to the Apulian hunting world it is a waste of money, not forgetting the new invasion of wild boars that would ensue. The hunting associations, but also ordinary citizens, have no intention of supporting the project, which is intended to involve the municipalities of Bari, Triggiano, Casamassima, Noicattaro, Rutigliano, Sammichele e Gioia del Colle. The park, among other things, would make the wild boar capture plan that was approved by the Puglia Region useless. In any case, we have been talking about this natural area for decades, but for the moment it has remained on paper. The precedents do not bode well, given that the other Apulian park institutions worsened the ungulate emergency, kept under control in the territories in which the repopulations were carried out. A comparison is possible with the Lama Balice Regional Natural Park, also in the Bari area: the area is too close to houses and wild boars can easily end up in the inhabited centers. The Triggiano section of theNational Free Hunting Association it is ready to do battle in this sense and is preparing a collection of signatures.
Date and place of the event The Italian Hunting Federation and Federcaccia Liguria in collaboration with the municipal section FIdC “Carlo Delpino” of Lavagna and with the Club “Ars Venandi” of Lavagna, organize on Sunday 2 June 2024 at the ZAC...
