Manhole covers and cages
The Basilicata Region has allocated 137.081 euros to be allocated to the Lucanian municipalities to combat the spread of the wildlife population. The notice was published in the Official Bulletin of Basilicata region n. 32 of 1 July 2024 and regulates the purchase and installation of capture devices, such as "PigBrig" traps, manhole covers, cages or capture fences. The aim of the measure is to combat the spread of the wildlife population in urban and peri-urban areas of inhabited centres. Municipalities in the Basilicata Region whose territory does not entirely fall within a protected area can benefit from the contribution (the list is published in Annex A of the announcement).
Maximum contribution payable
Eligible applications will be financed based on the chronological order of presentation, until available financial resources are exhausted. The maximum contribution that can be paid is equal to 3.000 euros, VAT included. The submission of requests must take place via the SIA-RB IT platform (Agricultural Information System of the Basilicata Region).
First window and subsequent ones
The first window for submitting requests is set at 20 days from the publication of the notice on the BURB (1 July 2024). If there is residual availability of financial resources, a second window will be opened in the following thirty days and will last a further twenty days. Each beneficiary can submit a maximum of two contribution requests. Municipalities that have already benefited from contributions relating to the notices referred to in the DD.GG.RR. n. 729/2023 and n. 145/2024 will be able to benefit from the contribution of this notice, subject to the availability of financial resources (Source AGR BASILICATA).
