recurring associations
The Regional Administrative Court for Calabria (First Section) pronounced the Ordinance on the appeal presented by Lipu, Wwf, Lac, Enpa, Lav, Legambiente Calabria to obtain the annulment and therefore the consequent suspension of the regional hunting calendar. Alongside the Region, the Italian Hunting Federation once again intervened in opposition together with Federcaccia Calabria. In a clear and clear way, the Calabria TAR rejected the requests made by the appellants, reiterating the "congruous and adequate justification of the different choices made" by the Region compared to the ISPRA opinion, underlining once again how the same "constitutes a mandatory but not binding act, so that the Region may deviate from the indications received".
Technical and scientific data
The TAR deemed the appeal for the fighting and turtle dove species to be inadmissible because the time required for collection had now passed and rejected, also thanks to the technical-scientific data and legal indications provided by the Federcaccia Studies and Research Office, the precautionary request advanced. for the other species: tufted duck, pochard and closing dates of woodcock, turdids and waterfowl, also highlighting the absence of precise technical objections from the appellants unlike the specific reasons for the aforementioned deviation from the ISPRA opinion brought by the Region. “A solid and impeccable result obtained by the Calabria Region and by Federcaccia, the only one to form itself in defense of hunters in Calabria”. This is how Regional President and National Vice President Giuseppe Giordano commented on the Ordinance. “I can only express great satisfaction – he continued – for the painstaking work, often silent and away from the limelight but certainly profitable, that the Federation is carrying out in our Region and in the rest of Italy.
Turd migration
Today's Ordinance confirms the absolute validity of Federcaccia's choice to focus on competence and research. The data provided on the migration of turdids, aquatics and woodcock, for example, constituted a keystone in defense of the calendar of this hunting season. Thanks therefore to the work carried out for the defense briefs by the Studies and Research Office by the Coordinator Dr. Michele Sorrenti and by the Consultant Valter Trocchi, as well as to the Lawyer Alberto Maria Bruni and Lawyer Biagio Di Vece who once again validly represented us by legal point of view". Federcaccia Calabria and Federcaccia Nazionale thank the Calabria Region, the Councilor and all the offices, together with the Regional Lawyer validly represented by the Lawyer Angela Marafioti (Press Office of the Italian Hunting Federation).
