There are just four days left for the important vote in plenary session at European Parliament of Strasbourg on Weapons Directive, a much awaited appointment that sees compact as never before sports-hunting sector. Representatives ofANPAM, ANPP (Private Polygons), Assoarmieri, 477 Directive Committee, FENAVERI, FITAV and FITDS they met in Rome to evaluate the final text of the law and understand how to orient themselves.
The acronyms gathered at the CONI Federations Building on the initiative of the ANPAM and recognized and underlined the work done so far by many parties to amend i more penalizing contents of the directive and have a more balanced text. Among the most controversial points of the original draft were the complete ban on semiautomatic weapons, the inclusion of magazines in the essential parts and greater limitation of rounds in magazines with respect to the provisions of national legislation.
This is why all the associations consider it risky to propose new amendments in this moment, even if opportune or considered just: examining them, in fact, would require a reopening of negotiations on the whole law, therefore dangerous limitations could return. The joint table of associations agreed that attention should be focused on the transposition of the directive at national levelby developing an effective information system.
