The provincial sections of Reggio Emilia of Italian Confederation of Farmers (CIA) and Confagricoltura have issued a joint communiqué concerning the hunting management of Territorial Areas of Hunting. The two agricultural associations have expressed a negative opinion regarding the work of theATC 4 "Mountain". Such an assessment had already been expressed in the past, taking into account the fact that the general assembly is scheduled shortly.
In particular, farmers have experienced the excessive presence of wild boar, deer and roe deer in the territory, in addition to the failure to recognize the damage caused by wild animals to agricultural crops. Among other things, the CIA and Confagricoltura wanted to underline the expenses of the Reggio Emilia ATC, since they are higher every year those for the assessment of damages with respect to the indemnities to be granted to the primary sector. The expenses for preventive interventions, then, would often be insufficient.
The negative judgment also accrued for three other reasons. First of all, the Sector signed a protocol to implement interventions on country roads with a different agricultural association. In addition, the announcement of interventions in the agricultural sector proved to be a flop, without forgetting the poor results of purely hunting management.
