The passage of a few days ago
The Board of Directors of ENCI, in the meeting held on 14 March 2023, with the favorable opinion expressed by the Central Technical Commission of 7 February 2023, resolved the transition from the Open Supplementary Register (RSA) to the Recognized Supplementary Register (RSR) of the Italian breed Mannara Dog/Sicilian Mastiff, belonging to the 2nd Group Dogs of the Pinscher and Schnauzer type, Molossians and Swiss cattle dogs.
The procedures to follow
The procedures already foreseen, confirmed by the Board of Directors for the implementation of the resolutions, are communicated:
subjects registered in the RSA as progenitors and descendants registered in the RSA for which compliance with the reference standard has been ascertained through verification in exhibitions recognized by ENCI access the RSR without issuing a further genealogical certificate;
by virtue of article 5 of the Technical standards of the herd book, the progenitor subjects who obtain the typicality will be able to access the RSR;
subjects who do not pass the morphological or typicality verification will not be able to access the RSR, as provided for in article 13 of the Special Regulations for dog shows, and will not be able to repeat the verification;
Other provisions
As for each breed registered in the Book, the rates foreseen for the registration of litter notifications with the territorially competent Delegations are applied;
Cane di Mannara/Sicilian Mastiff subjects are allowed to participate in shows recognized by ENCI, contributing to the assignment of the CAC, JCAC, VCAC on the basis of the special Regulations for dog shows. The breed cannot compete for the CACIB, JCACIB and VCACIB awards;
in addition to the expert judges already in charge of judging the breed, by virtue of the provisions of the Disciplinary of the body of expert judges of the Book, the expert judges already qualified for the entire group to which they belong judge the breed.
