Three days ago, Monday 3 April 2017, theRegional Department of Agriculture of Tuscany officially presented the app that can transform any smartphone into a hunting card. This is a very important digital innovation that the commissioner Marco Remaschi he illustrated to a large audience who attended for the occasion. During 2017-2018 seasonin fact, this application will be tested for the first time, in the hope that it will become fully operational in the next one.
However, it should be remembered that it will not be immediately mandatory, even when will be available to all hunters, as it will represent a useful alternative to the traditional paper card. As explained by Arch Hunting, it is strongly hoped that the technological option will be chosen by a very high number of hunters, taking into account its potential: in particular, bureaucracy is eliminated which is typical of the issue and withdrawal of badges.
The traditional printing costs are eliminated and the other uses of the digital card are varied. Indeed, it will be possible to score the culled heads and send information in real time, constantly monitoring the collection of starlings and ungulates. Among other things, the app is intended to speed up the compilation of the document, making it even more punctual.
