Arch Hunting commented on yet another extension that is concerning the hunting fauna plan of the Veneto region. The association was convinced that there would be such a situation despite the promises made for some time. In a nutshell, the Regional Council has decided to move the validity of the document up to 31 December of the 2020despite the fact that the plan itself has now expired for five years. Here is how the press release continues: “Even worse is that the deadline is set at 31 December just as the hunting season is still in progress.
And what about 2020? We remind everyone that this regional legislation will expire in the spring of 2020. It is therefore natural to ask whether you want to postpone the whole question to the new council that will take office in the summer of next year: otherwise it could have been hypothesized a deadline at the end of the next hunting season and then in February 2020. Of course, the provision has yet to pass the scrutiny of the Regional Council but we do not think it will change much.
The continuation of the continuous extensions of the New Regional Hunting Wildlife Plan (cost to date from its expiry hundreds of thousands of euros in studies and projects), in addition to being a waste of unacceptable resources and time, it is a loss of credibility for the entire hunting world as the answers to multiple and pressing questions are lacking such as, for example, the management of large ungulates and carnivores (safety and damage), the comparison and management of the territory with the agricultural and productive world. What can I say, while awaiting the promulgation of this further extension, we look forward to the complete publication of the New Wildlife Hunting Plan Regional and subsequent consultations in order to express our observations ".
