Federcaccia Marche's decision
By deed filed at the end of last week, the Italian Federation of Hunting, both as a National and as Federcaccia Marche, filed an appeal against the Regional Hunting Calendar against the Marche, Ispra and LAC regions on the forecasts of early closure of the hunt in the hunting season 2022/2023, to the Mallard, to the Teal and the Garganey on January 14; at Cesena and at Tordo Sassello on 19 January; to the Bottaccio Thrush on 9 January; alla woodcaccia on January 19, compared to the closing date of January 31 established by art. 18, paragraph 1, of Law 157 / 1992.
The reasons for the appeal
These early closures determine the damage to the legitimate interests of hunters registered with Federcaccia and represented by it, who moreover pay both state and regional concession fees parameterised to the entire hunting time span from the third Sunday of September to January 31 of the following year and therefore the regional hunting calendar of the Marche. 2022/2023 appears illegitimate and harmful in this part of it. Furthermore, the opinion of Ispra of 20.6.2022 appears illegitimately given, and in any case such that it cannot be considered reliable in relation to the early closure of the it hunts some ducks, turdidae and woodcock and then challenged before the same Tar.
The requests of the association
Federcaccia therefore asks to cancel the hunting calendar of the Marche Region in the parts in which:
anticipates the closure of the Cesena and Tordo Sassello hunting from 31 January to 19 January 2023;
anticipates the closure of the song thrush hunt from January 31st to January 9th 2023;
anticipates the closure of the hunt for Mallard, Alzavola and Garganey from January 31st to January 14th 2023
anticipates the closure of the Woodcock hunt from January 31st to January 19th 2023.
If, as we hope, the appeal finds acceptance to the Marche hunters, the possibility of legitimately hunting the indicated species will be restored until the end of the hunting season and an important legal precedent will be established whose positive effects will affect all Italian hunters.
