The financial group Charm accelerates on the enhancement of Flakes Ammunition, historical Italian company founded in 1861 and world leader in the production of ammunition of any type and caliber for civil use. According to rumors, the investment company headed by the Montezemolo family and among whose partners there is Luigi Sala, would have entrusted the tasks to the investment banks in charge of evaluating the different valuation options: a mandate would in fact be entrusted to the American Citi and Lazard. Fiocchi Munizioni could be of interest to strategic groups active in the same sector: among the circulating names of potential interested there are those of some American groups.
But one of the options could also be a quote always overseas, perhaps through a US Spac. Less interest should instead come from private equity funds, which especially in the last two years must strictly comply with ESG regulations, that is on social, environmental and corporate governance issues. After all, the United States is now one of the main markets of the Italian company: of the 280 million turnover expected at the end of 2021, about half is in fact generated overseas. In 2018, the Charme fund took over 60 per cent of the Fiocchi group, while the family had reinvested the remaining 40 per cent (The Sun 24 hours).
