Excellence of Made in Italy
The exhibition was presented in the Hall of Tapestries of Palazzo Piacentini, seat of the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy in Rome. Commemorative stamp dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the Pietro Beretta Arms Factory, as part of the philatelic series "Excellence of the Production System and Made in Italy." This recognition places Beretta among the companies that have contributed, over time, to building the country's industrial identity. The stamp's design was created in-house and bears the signature of designer Marco Martelli. The Beretta 500th anniversary logo stands out in the center, surrounded by a bright graphic spark that evokes energy, continuity, and innovation. In the background, the date 1526, the year the company was founded, stands out in a calligraphic font specially created to celebrate this unique milestone.
The speech by Carlo Gussalli Beretta
Carlo Gussalli Beretta, representing the sixteenth generation, spoke at the ceremony. On behalf of the Beretta family and all those who work within the Group today, he expressed heartfelt thanks to Fausta Bergamotto, Undersecretary of State for Philately, to Poste Italiane, and to the Istituto Poligrafico e Zecca dello Stato (IPZS). The stamp dedicated to Beretta is part of an official issue by the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy, with a tariff B value, and is printed by IPZS. A small object that embodies a great story: that of a company that, from 1526 to the present, has transcended the centuries while maintaining its values, constantly balancing tradition and innovation.
A look into the future
"In such a significant year for its history, Beretta once again entrusts the culture and symbols of Made in Italy with the story of an industrial journey that continues to look to the future, without ever forgetting its roots," explains Carlo Gussalli Beretta. "Our 500th anniversary is therefore a commitment to the future, not a celebration of the past. This commitment naturally resonates with the mission of the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy: to demonstrate that Italian industry can be solid, innovative, responsible, and competitive on global markets. On behalf of my family, my grandfather Ugo, my father Franco, my uncle Pietro, and the people who work at Beretta, I renew a pact of trust with the institutions and the country: we will commit ourselves and continue to generate industrial, human, and social value, bringing Made in Italy to the world that looks to the future with vision and responsibility."
