The training of the little ones
Having started some time ago, consolidated and projected into the future, the link between the primary school of San Giovanni (IC Ome) and the local group manages to propose every year activities that benefit the education of children. In fact, the concern for the education of young people, the enhancement of the territory, traditions and love for Nature are at the center of the aims of the FIdC of Polaveno, represented by the president Emanuele Palini. This year they welcomed with great interest the proposal of the teachers of the second and fifth grades of the primary school: an excursion to Val Grande in Vezza d'Oglio to listen to the energetic, imposing, vibrant, cavernous roar of the deer.
Peaks already covered in snow
Thanks to their interest, with the collaboration of a local company that took full responsibility for the transport costs, all the children were able to participate in the great experience of a deep immersion in a wild and ancient nature. The result was surprising: the little ones not only walked almost the entire valley up to an altitude of 2.000 meters, but were captivated by the immensity of the already snow-capped peaks, by the blue that surrounded them, by the interspersed concert of bellowing and by the irrepressible joy of being able to see them even with the naked eye. This is further proof that hunters love the environment.
The recovery of forgotten sources
In fact, they continue to play an active role in the ordinary and extraordinary cleaning of the Path of the Wolves and the springs (educational path adopted by the school) and to take an active part in planning the recovery of old forgotten sources, but essential for the people of the town in past years. Again, their commitment to cheer up and give moments of joy and memories for the elderly of the Sarezzo RSA where they have been able to bring smiles through hunting dogs, tales and anecdotes of hunting scenes and stories ... A group open to social life, to volunteering and with a serious interest in children's civic education (source: FIDC).
