The D-Day of the Bonardo di Bra (CN) armory on 2 and 3 April: a successful initiative
The Bonardo di Bra (Cn) armory on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 April 2022 held a special opening dedicated to customers and enthusiasts from the world of hunting and shooting
It is useless to dwell on the extensive and heavy negativities related to Covid 19, much better to focus on the initiatives that some implement to defeat that certain apathy that has spread in a general way by stimulating in its customers, with intelligent and targeted actions, the interest and the desire to shop. L'Bonardo Armory in Bra (CN) certainly not lacking in ideas and so he prepared in time for the weekend of April 2 and 3 a series of wide-ranging activities involving the houses treated for weapons and optics, as well as other characters linked to the world of hunting and shooting .
The base exhibition was held in the various rooms of the armory with racks full of rifles where the brands of the Beretta Group with products made by the parent company and by Benelli, Franchi, Sako and Tikka. Then there are several models of the Browning where the BAR, the historic semi-auto rifled, takes the lion's share; examples of the brands distributed by Bignami cannot be missing with CZ leading the way followed by Merkel, Savage and Weatherby just to name the most popular. In the characteristic internal courtyard some covered pavilions host various exhibitors sheltered from the possible rain which, after four months of drought, presented itself for the occasion the day before the opening.
La Bonicelli estate masterfully managed by Lorenzo Verra (328 962 3945) proposes hunting ungulates with the rifled barrel and birds with the smooth one, complementing the food and wine hospitality in which the game is served, cooked in exemplary ways, or transformed into succulent cured meats or mocette; the shelled and vacuum-packed tonda gentile del Piemonte pgi hazelnut is a fantastic accompaniment to aperitifs or fortified wines at the end of a meal. There is no lack of ingenuity and so some specimens of alpacas housed in the enclosures at the hunting house provide the precious wool to stuff warm blankets. Next to it we find a significant display of trophies prepared by Pier Tassidermista, precisely this is the heading of the enterprising craftsman's activity (338 496 7863), flanked by some examples of how the pyrography tool, a tool that works hot on wood, can confer a completely exceptional aspect to a drawing or other execution: DRP the commercial acronym of Daniele, the artist who works in this activity (349 43 29 648).
The optics
We proceed clockwise in the exhibition meeting the kind Mrs. Melissa who with a colleague illustrates the latest news of the Swarovski: it is useless to list them because enthusiasts can only have a doubt about this or that model, the figure they intend to dedicate to you because they already know everything about the intrinsic qualities of the riflescopes and binoculars built in Absam.
Blaser proposes its series of optics flanked by the thermal viewers of Liemke and Minox it certainly does not fail to arouse interest with its riflescopes which are very balanced in terms of performance and price. Thermal technology is becoming increasingly popular among ungulate hunters and the Leica is one of the top names: Matteo Martinoglio and a colleague propose the two Calonox, View and Sightthe first is an observation viewer and the second device applicable to aiming optics; there is no shortage of binoculars with rangefinder and spotting scopes of many varieties where the excellence of the lenses is combined with the technical perfection of the turrets.
Alongside another proposal managed by Alessandro Pavanello of Bignami: it takes up little space, but it is space in which Zeiss insinuates its latest novelty: the Victory RF binotelemeter proposed in the sizes 8 × 42, 10 × 42, 8 × 54, 10 × 54. Victory is the highest range of the house and all that remains is to try these magnificent creations in the open field alongside an equal degree of forty years ago to understand how the technique has evolved.
The TSN of Bra
During the exhibition, Bonardo drew up an agreement with the polygon of National Shooting Range of Bra (CN): interested customers could try to fire a dozen rifles and four pistols: among the latter the semi-auto Beretta PMX, 92X and APX, some in 9 × 21 others already in the 9 × 19 which has just entered the sale to individuals. For the rifles the most recent stood out Beretta BRX1 with roto-translating movement, Sako with the Mod. S-20 and TRG A1, four Tikka and the two followers of Blaser with an R8 and a kipplauf K95 in the Ultimate versions. One ennobles the whole Sauer Mod. 404, the top piece of the prestigious German company; on the other hand, the Mauser M18 from which excellent performances are obtained; the recent one is captivating in its shapes and finishes Franks Horizon Varmint, even this shotgun will fully satisfy lovers of long shooting distances, especially with the wise adoption of the .224 Walkyrie bore. To complete this excellent overview appears the Bonardo proposal to offer some of the products tested and others taken from availability at very attractive prices: to be purchased by April 16, just in time to insert them in the Easter egg.
The overview
To round off the company's willingness to customers, on the hills around the city there was a workstation equipped with top optics, especially long ones, to be checked in large spaces: the visibility on Saturday was unfortunately not among the best. , but for those who went on Sunday they ranged from Monviso to the last offshoots of the Maritime Alps and the Apennines that surround Liguria on the border with Piedmont. A truly excellent weekend, therefore, and a commercial boost for Bonardo more than commendable.
