Many passionate volunteers
Thanks to a call for tenders from the Municipality of Larciano, the Visitor Centre of the Natural Reserve of Marshes of Fucecchio “Baroness Irene di Alfano Montecuccoli”. The use of the premises of the historic visitor centre has been entrusted for Tuesday morning, and Saturday and Sunday afternoon, to the Federcaccia-UCT Section of Larciano, which will manage it together with the sectoral ACMA (Association of Migratory Aquatic Hunters) and numerous passionate volunteers who have always had the marsh area at heart.
Educational activities and more
A fundamental service, that of trying to make the structure welcoming and functional for all those - including tourists - who want to visit this unique area, and which will also allow participation in numerous educational activities and itinerant initiatives. In particular, the informative material regarding the specific ecological and management aspects of the Padule di Fucecchio will be updated and integrated as soon as possible and themed photographic exhibitions will be organized, in collaboration with some Valdinievole Photo Clubs. A new and competent qualified assistance will also be organized to accompany visitors, also by means of special and traditional boats, for guided tours inside the marsh bed.
Educational events
All fundamental activities, aimed at developing new synergies with other local entities already involved in the ecotourism promotion activity of the marsh, which will be integrated with numerous training events, also on specific topics, for the knowledge of the local avifauna, flora and fish species. Another concrete example of how local hunters, through Federcaccia-UCT and ACMA, are and will be - as they have always been - committed to the protection of the largest Italian wetland (source: FIDC).
