Thousands of visitors
The historic regional bird festival of Almenno San Salvatore celebrated its 91st edition, attracting thousands of visitors to Sant'Uberto Park. The festival, founded in 1934 to promote breeding decoy birds, has evolved into an event of national importance.
Dog breeding, falconry and much more
This year's edition featured nearly 120 stalls selling traditional products and livestock cages. Among the main events were the awards ceremony for the birdsong competition, a dog show featuring 35 dogs, and a falconry demonstration. The performance by the chioccolatori, skilled imitators of birdsong, was also particularly popular.
International Prizes
During the morning, the Enrico Amoruso Memorial Best in Show awards were presented, with the Italian Spinone "Melvin" and the Italian Pointer "Capitano" triumphing. The Festival's president, Diego Cornali, received an award from the mayor of Almenno San Salvatore, Michele Sarchielli, for his dedication to organizing the event.
