A commitment that has lasted for years
115 kg of wild boar meat donated to Caritas "Padre Giacomo Selvi" by the Federcaccia of Agropoli, in the province of Salerno, yet another demonstration of how the heart of hunters always be great and proactive. It is not an isolated episode, given that for several years the local section of the hunting association has been doing its utmost in this direction to help those most in need.
Where does wild boar meat come from?
Wanting to be even more precise, the meat donated to Caritas is that which comes from hunting in the Alento district, i.e. in the Cilento Vallo di Diano and Alburni National Park. Just a year ago there was talk of this natural area in Campania, when the controllers asked for greater powers, with the culling of wild animals considered the only remedy to deal with the emergency.
Health checks
An emergency that has now turned into a resource. The wild boar meat we are talking about has been subjected to the necessary checks from a health point of view, carried out by the Zooprophylactic Institute of Portici. Immediately after the checks, the distribution took place to the citizens and families who arrived at the Agropoli Caritas.
