As disclosed by the Regional Federcaccia of Lombardy, the TAR decided to accept the appeal of the LAC (League for the abolition of hunting) and consequently suspend the supplementary days from fixed posting. The suspension concerns the parts that are not considered to comply with the ISPRA opinion (Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research).
The current situation is this:
- Provinces of Bergamo, Brescia, Lecco and Varese: 3 days of your choice;
- Provinces of Como and Monza: confirmed 5 days only for turdids;
- Provinces of Cremona, Lodi, Mantua and Pavia: days as per regional decree.
The provision is immediately enforceable and therefore hunters who have already benefited from this three-day week will not be able to go hunting Saturday and Sunday in stalking in the Provinces of Bergamo, Brescia, Lecco and Varese. The hunting association could not fail to accept the sentence with some disappointment: “The decision leaves us disconsolate. Lombardy Region had extrapolated all the data, assuming a very low incidence on withdrawals due to the fifth day already granted last season (in the order of 3% of the two-month withdrawals) and had amply motivated the deviation from the ISPRA opinion (which was based on an erroneous reading of the data provided by the Region, as noted by Federcaccia in the defense) ". We will know more in the coming days.
