La Anti Vivisection League (LAV) has launched a campaign to support a bill aimed at abolishing hunting: it is about #Just shoot, an initiative that will be accompanied by a petition, but that the Billboard Office of the is not liked at all City of Milan. What happened? As explained by LAV itself, the posters used to promote the project are not liked.
They are pictured a fox, a bird and a deer in the foreground, lifeless and without wounds, but according to the Municipality the evocation of the theme of death would be strong. For this reason they cannot be used and the billboards for a fee will not be authorized. Other neighboring municipalities have thought differently, but it is obvious that the choice of a large and important city like Milan makes noise.
For the animal rights association this is a paradox, as the reasons for the ban speak of protection of citizens who are sensitive and who do not participate in the hunting activity. In the LAV communiqué the usual words regarding hunting were used, defined "A brutal pastime"Furthermore, there was no lack of reference to the alleged killing of almost 500 million animals every year, a striking number that serves to gain a hold on public opinion.
