Peter Ostuni, Quaestor of Aosta, spoke during a meeting with general practitioners, forensic specialists, the heads of the AUSL and theHealth Councilor. In particular, Ostuni referred to the health certificates which are used for the issue or renewal of the firearms license, documents for which greater attention would be needed. According to Ostuni this is not an alarm to be launched, but of a due act.
For the Commissioner, the issue cannot fail to be deepened, given that we are talking about a city of about 35 thousand inhabitants in which these permits are more than 3 thousand. Furthermore, Ostuni underlined the importance of the topic, linking it to the fact that in Valle d'Aosta hunting and therefore the possession of weapons are widespread.
The Aosta Valley procedures for the issue of all licenses relating to carrying of firearms they are managed by the Offices of the Administrative Police Division of the Aosta Police Headquarters. Those who intend to apply for and obtain the license for the port of long or short weapon, therefore, must present a specific instance of this division. Furthermore, the application can be submitted at any time of the year.
