After having carefully read the shorthand account of the session of the Regional Council of February 20, 2020 - says Renato Antonucci - I would like to thank sincerely, both in the capacity of shareholder ANUU that as a representative of Confagricoltura Frosinone - for the latter Association as a member of the Board ofATC FR 1 - the Regional Councilors who intervened to defend the existence and respect of the Citizen-Hunter. Hunters are a precious support to the flora-fauna and more widely environmental balance; they are a precious "sentinel" of the territory.
It is enough, therefore, to listen or read the interventions of those who want to make us pass as destroyers of game and even responsible for the decrease of the Marsicano Brown Bear. The Bear that goes down to the valley certainly does not do it for fun or to look closely at the running around of the cars; but to feed oneself not being able to feed in those high ground areas, which is its natural environment. So why do politicians at all levels, the interested Bodies not begin to think about putting in place an intervention plan suitable for stopping in the places where this splendid "Plantigrade" wants, and I repeat wants, to continue running around with their puppies and do so that they can find their own food there (apples, pears, quinces, wheat and more)?
This is what has been requested several times by the wildlife experts of the Wilderness (of which I have been a member for many years) who have always been in the front row. in defense of the survival and respect of the Marsican Bear. I would like to suggest in this regard that "cooperatives of young farmers, shepherds and breeders can be created to transport, with mules equipped with special containers, tons of waste fruit and vegetables taken from large retail facilities (as per eg. the MOF of Fondi) and deposit them in high mountain places where both the bear and other mammals could eat. Certainly, even if in part, the problem of the descent to the valley due to hunger would be solved, thus avoiding their e our safety.
Nobody talks about it anymore. The massive surplus presence of wild boars, in addition to creating millions of euros in damage to agriculture and the environment, is the cause of very serious road accidents, with injuries and unfortunately deaths of men, women and children. All the institutions involved, coordinated by the Prefects and the Mayors, only with the invaluable support of expert hunter-selectors, and by snipers of the Police, will be able to bring the number of ungulates, to that indicated in Hunting Wildlife Plan that the Lazio Region must prepare to approve, in place of the previous one, which has been in force for too long now.
So, the meat made from jokes:
1) a part can be donated to host associations;
2) a part to the participants in the hunting expeditions;
3) the remainder sold to restaurants and agritourisms and the proceeds used, for example, for environmental improvements.
As Anuu we thank all those regional political forces that in addition to welcoming some of the our proposals (the simplification for mushroom pickers, the use of waterfowl for stalking hunting as live calls, the domestic derivatives of the mallard and the wild pigeon, as well as the rock pigeon for stalking) will now want to support also these instances.
