La Province of Novara has decided to take decisive action against wild boars. The owners and tenants of the funds of this part of Piedmont they will in fact have the opportunity to act directly on their land, in order to face the invasion of the wild. It is a control plan which however provides for a series of requirements to be respected. Furthermore, the containment activity can only be carried out by farmers if in possession of a hunting license, otherwise it will be necessary to have a delegation from the enabled selecontrollers.
Another stake imposed by the local authority is that of prior communication to the Provincial Police and other law enforcement agencies. Wild boars are mainly damaging corn and other crops, without forgetting the accidents, now commonplace. The plan received eight votes in favor and five abstentions, among other things the Regional Council is evaluating the changes to be made for the drafting of the new hunting law.
There are several requests made for the collection of wild boars: in particular, it has been suggested a longer evening schedule, in addition to the use of dogs to move and remove ungulates. However, classic preventions will not be neglected, first of all i electrified fences in cultivated land.
