La Regional Council of the Marche officially launched the hunting calendar 2016-2017: the opening of the new hunting season has been set for the next one 1 ° September, while the 9 February 2017. As usual, the hunting periods and days, the huntable species, the limits of the game bags, the start and end times of the hunting days and the dog training methods have been established. There are some specific dates regarding the huntable game species.
In particular, it is worth remembering that Marche hunters will have the opportunity to collect teals, mallards and garganeys from 1 September to 23 January 2017, while the dates set for hares, wild rabbits, gray partridges, pheasants and red partridges are September 18th (beginning) and December 4th (end). From 18 September to 30 January 2017, then, it will be possible to hunt foxes, thrushes, cesene, pintails, wigeons, lapwings, snipe, whiskers and waterways.
As he explained Moreno Pieroni, councilor with powers to hunt, the approach adopted so far has remained the same and the Marche can boast one of the best hunting calendars in Italy. Among the main innovations there is undoubtedly the reintroduction of the red partridge as a huntable species. In addition, Special Protection Areas (SPAs) and Sites of Community Importance (SIC) have been envisaged.
