Il Regional Council of the Marche decided to reject the motion presented by the director Sandro Bisonni (Mixed Group) with which the suspension of hunting from stalking was requested due to the climatic situation. Furthermore, Bisonni aimed to postpone the hunting season 2017-2018, with the consequent limitation of game bags.
This is yet another attempt to affect hunting by taking fires and drought as a pretext, just now that temperatures have dropped and thunderstorms were recorded throughout Italy. The Marche Council rejected every request, despite the fact that the motion stressed their compliance with the indications of the Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research (ISPRA).
Bisonni did not take it well at all, explaining how he preferred to give more importance to "A handful of votes", without thinking about the environment. Among the other commitments that the councilor would have wanted from the Regional Council there were also the suspension of the authorization to carry out training and training of hunting dogs and the prohibition of hunting within the forest areas that have been burned for at least two years.
