Green light for hunting in Piemonte also to three species previously blocked: two of typical Alpine fauna, the rock partridge and the black grouse, and to the aquatic tufted duck. The ban on the white partridge remains. This was established by the TAR with the ordinance 6/11/2024 n.430, which rejected for three out of four species the suspension request presented by the environmental associations. Hunting activity for all other species continues according to the methods indicated in the regional calendar 2024-25.
New opportunities for hunters
Satisfaction from the Councilor for Hunting and Fishing Paolo Bongioanni: «I thank the TAR for having examined the issue in a timely manner and for having taken a decision that gives us full reason and gives hunters back the possibility of hunting species on which the regional position had been more than justified».
Regional prescriptions
The appeal of the Region, argues the TAR, "seems to present partial profiles of merit. With reference to the rock partridge and black grouse species, the regional provisions appear to be in accordance with the indications of Ispra, so that the complaint according to which the Region would have diverged unjustifiably from the opinion of Ispra appears to be unfounded. As for the tufted duck species, it seems that the Region has adequately argued the reasons for which it preferred to depart from the opinion of Ispra". (Source PIEDMONT REGION)
