Precious supports
On a splendid spring day, the 3rd edition of Paladini del Territorio - Fondazione UNA Uomo Natura Ambiente and the 10th edition of Ambiente Bene Comune of the ATC Province of Lecce took place in which the section participated Federcaccia of Frigole, who coordinated about 60 "Paladins and Paladins" of the Territory with an age range from 5 to 80 years, with the precious support of the Frigole Naval League with its Commissioner Fernando Petracca and of the president Donato Toraldo of Avis Manifattura Tabacchi Lecce.
The material collected
Before starting the cleaning operations, the President of the section, Giuseppe Del Cuore, brought together the participants to give them some indications and recommendations regarding any potentially dangerous material found (for example abandoned syringes or other). We then moved on to the delivery of the material necessary for the reclamation operations and a breakfast offered by FIdC Frigole.
The next edition
At the end of the morning the Territory Paladins collected around 5 quintals of material of all kinds: car tyres, 3 gas cylinders, mattress bases, plastic, polystyrene and so on. Mid-morning a new stop for the homemade snack of Lu Furnu from the Masseria Giammatteo in Frigole: focaccias stuffed in different ways and pittole. “This is Federcaccia Frigole – declared President Del Cuore – all of us are the true Paladins of the Territory. Thanks to everyone and see you again with the volunteers at the next edition, while our section never stops fighting the phenomenon of wild abandonment of waste (source: FIDC).
