Important figures
Over 10 talks were hosted and promoted; more than 70 personalities were involved, from the institutional, environmental, scientific, agricultural, and academic worlds; more than 600 people attended the panels and, a few meters away, over 10.000 tastings of wild meats served by dozens of chefs during 15 educational events; thousands of people with whom the staff interacted, between one exchange of materials and another, to convey their idea of the future of biodiversity and bring the Cloud of Alliances revolving around ONEAll this in just three days.
An ever-growing pool of people
These are the first numbers that the UNA Foundation – Man, Nature, Environment – has announced following the 2026 edition of EOS, hosted for the first time by Fiere di Parma, a change that has given new life to the Fair and helped engage an increasingly wider audience with a passion for hunting and the outdoors.
Agenda of activities
Launching a new journey, starting in Parma, the Foundation this year chose to be present, substantiating its mission with the creation of a true Village, where moments of exchange and discussion on the topics at the heart of its agenda took place – in the Talk Area and the Gusto Selvatico Arena, respectively:
- Agriculture and hunting: together with Coldiretti and AB-Agrivenatoria Biodiversitalia, hunting associations, and some institutional representatives of MASAF, the necessary synergies between the two sectors were explored, identifying collaboration as the essential prerequisite for a virtuous coexistence and the protection of productive activities.
- Wildlife management: within the IUCN and with Federparchi, one of our most prestigious allies, we have deepened our dialogue on invasive and overpopulated species, substantiating the scientific approach as the solution to promoting biodiversity protection and reducing the impact on ecosystems.
- Objectives of the EU Biodiversity Strategy: Again within the IUCN framework, with the authoritative presence of MASE, ISPRA, Federparchi, IUCN EU and FACE EU, discussions were held on the role of private wildlife institutes and wildlife-hunting companies (AFV), analyzed as strategic allies in conservation policies, for the integration of these tools into OECMs (Other Effective Area-based Conservation Measures) at the national and European levels, with the goal of achieving 30% of restored territory in Italy.
- Global and local management models: through the analysis of case histories ranging from Tibet – where a large delegation was hosted – to the Alps, exploring the coexistence of humans and wildlife to enhance the value of the mountain supply chain.
- Food safety and wild meat: some of the most significant experiences conducted in Italy on the topic of wild meat management were presented. Furthermore, in collaboration with Gusto Selvatico APS, in the adjacent Gusto Selvatico Arena, concrete experiences of the wild meat supply chain were developed, analyzing the nutritional benefits and necessary management implications. Special thanks go to our many chefs and partners: Alma – International Cooking School, Franchi Food Academy, Grow Restaurant, Sant'Uberto – Le carne del bosco, Rifugio “Malga Stain”, Agriturismo “Le Frise”, Dìaol – Gusto e Natura, Chef Federcaccia Donne, AB – Agrivenatoria Biodiversitalia, Vineria Sonora, Cantine Moroni Zucchi.
The next events
Last but not least, all of the projects native to the UNA Foundation have had the opportunity, within the context of EOS, to be celebrated together with the people who are part of them: an example is Operation Paladins of the Territory, with the awarding of the most virtuous Paladins of 2025, or Scatti Selvatici. The goodness of hunting in an image, with a moment of exchange with the author-photographers around the themes of ethical hunting photography. Numbers and themes that speak of a great commitment and a great success, which the UNA Foundation enthusiastically intends to ride to continue to represent an idea of future evolution of the meaning of hunting in nature, which can be strengthened by an increasingly strong capillarity throughout the territory, by solid alliances and by an international vision that puts us in comparison with global models. Appointments, now, with new moments of exchange at Longarone Fiere for Hunting, Fishing and Nature (17-19 April) and in Bastia Umbra for Caccia Village (16-18 May).
