Il the first of September is getting closer and will be a key date for hunters from many Italian regions (it's pre-opening day for 15 of them). One of these is Campania and the regional Federcaccia has provided some valuable tips and information. In special protection areas PSIC, SCI and SPA pre-opening is prohibited, while dog training will be allowed immediately, except for Tuesdays and Fridays. From 16 September, in addition to the wood pigeon and the turtle dove, it will also be possible to hunt quail and pheasant with the help of the dog.
From 1 October all other species can be hunted as per the calendar. A tip from FIDC Campania is to carefully check the Required documentation which must obviously be in order. The same goes for weapons, which are also necessarily in good standing. Another helpful tip is to stick to the habitats and fauna present, remembering that game is not an inexhaustible resource.
The annotations on the hunting card should not be underestimated. The heads of sedentary and migratory species must be noted immediately after recovery to avoid problems during the checks. The association's invitation is peremptory: "The hunting world of Campania demonstrates that it has reached a degree of maturity and awareness on which to build a more dignified and more qualifying future".
