Bad weather drove the Puglia region a suspend hunting throughout the territory starting today, Friday 6 January 2017, until Sunday 8 January. L'weather alert concerns the whole of the Center-South of our country, given that the wave of frost coming from Russia will lead to minimum temperatures equal to -14 degrees, the lowest ever in recent decades. The decision immediately resulted in a big one disappointment among some Apulian hunters and the regional department that deals with agriculture and environment has integrated the previous note with a new one to clarify an important aspect.
In fact, hunting in Puglia will be suspended for three days but limited to harvesting of the woodcock species. The fact that there was talk of safeguarding huntable fauna has raised more than one doubt and now everything has been clarified. On the southern region they are coming heavy snowfall with accumulations of more than 50-60 centimeters, especially in the innermost areas. The area at risk is that of central Bari, to be precise from Bari to Acquaviva, passing through Adelfia.
