Il Regional Administrative Court of Abruzzo issued the order on the appeal lodged against the Hunting Calendar 2019-2020. The appeal was presented by the WWF and the National League for the Defense of the Dog. In a nutshell, the judges of the TAR have chosen to bring forward the closure of the hunt by ten days quails, pheasants, cesene, bottacci thrushes, stone thrushes, teals, wigeons, coots, moorhens, mallards, garganeys, lapwings, waterways, gadflies, pintails, whisks, shovels and pochards (the deadline is now January 20th instead of January 30th as previously set).
The opening on September 15 was considered illegitimate and therefore the start of withdrawals was postponed to October 2, based on the opinion of theISPRA (Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research). Woodcock can be hunted until December 31, twenty days before the original deadline.
For the snipe i Abruzzo hunters they will have one month less at their disposal, without forgetting the recognized illegitimacy of the opening of the turtledove samples. The reasons for the appeal were fourteen and 14, but the Court has accepted three in total, for the discussion of the appeal we will have to wait until next December 4th.
They take away hunting seasons and areas from us every year. Every year with absurd reasons. I wonder: but will these animal rights activists and anti-hunts ever die out? I sincerely hope so.
