Upon appeal presented by the Victims of the Hunt Association, the TAR of Campania canceled the regional resolution on the hunting calendar which authorized the lapwing hunting, a bird often in the center of the administrative battles between the hunting and environmental world.
Among the reasons for the sentence, published on April 26, there is the absence of "A valid management plan suitable for safeguarding the lapwing" for which it is "reprehensible that it has been included among the huntable species". It is not the first time that we have come across such a ruling in this region: the opinion of theISPRA (Higher Institute for Environmental Protection and Research) was negative, but still non-binding.
