The control room of the Campania regional hunting associations (ANUU, ENALCACCIA, ARCICACCIA, FEDERCACCIA, EPS, FREE HUNTING and ITALCACCIA) strongly condemns the act of poaching that took place a Castel Volturno (CE) to the damage of 70 migratory water birds, including particularly protected species, by two poachers identified and then reported by the Investigative Unit of Environmental Agri-Food and Forestry Police of Caserta and by the soldiers of the Forestry Carabinieri of Marcianise. Any subsequent doubt was dispelled when the military cited above through a video published by the two poachers traced their identities.
Such acts of poaching, with which we are often unjustly associated, do not identify at all with the figure and role of the hunter, they are absolutely not tolerable and represent illegal and despicable activities that damage wildlife, question the overall image of hunting and damage its credibility. The poacher is the first enemy of hunting and hunters, so it must be marginalized and reported, is a figure who illegitimately and recklessly steals resources of the territory from other legitimate users for whom he does not belong to the world of hunters and must be publicly condemned.
The Campania hunting associations condemned these episodes and in general every act of poaching, which disfigures and offends the many enthusiasts who carry out their passion with ethics and in compliance with rules and behaviors based on values, traditions and principles handed down over time, also contributing to the defense and balance of wildlife presences in the area. The Campania hunting world will continue to play its associative role in the management, protection and promotion of the environment and fauna, as well as in safeguarding a much proclaimed biodiversity, but that only those who diligently practice certain environments can know, defend and enhance.
