As disclosed by the Coldiretti, the management plan e control of wild boar in Campania he's about to leave. The table at the Regional Councilorship for Agriculture produced this important result: we are thinking of starting the experimental capture of ungulates with manhole covers, all coordinated by the provincial hunting territories. Furthermore, the Region is ready to settle the damage caused by wild animals by next March.
As pointed out by Salvatore Loffreda, regional director of Coldiretti Campania: “We welcome with pleasure the willingness of the Region to accelerate both as regards the implementation of the Plan and as regards payments. In the current context, and given the discouragement that has hit our farmers with respect to refreshment procedures, unlocking resources is good news. We will follow this phase through our Agricultural Assistance Centers, suggesting any adjustments, as we have done up to now in the elaboration of the Management Plan.
At the same time we will disseminate the new procedures through our territorial offices. The control of the ungulate population is a necessary measure not only for farmers, for whom the situation has long been unsustainable, to the point of affect the production continuity of companies. The excessive presence of the wild boar has created an imbalance not only to the natural ecosystem, but also to the urban one. The accidents caused by animals along the roads multiply, putting human life at risk ”.
